I should think the author would want to listen to this before releasing it in audible format. Most Recommended Books presents the Anna Lee Huber series written by Anna Lee. She reads things in a sing song fashion and puts emphasis on the most unnatural words in sentences, that it simply leaves me wanting to beg her to quit "trying" so hard, and just read in normal, spoken tones and tempo. I've backed this story up several times to try to catch what got lost in the confusing cadence she uses, but it just isn't worth it. I find it sad that someone with such a lovely-sounding voice is unable to read in a straightforward way. However, I find her inability to read a simple sentence in a normal, natural sounding fashion to be so off-putting that I can't make it through this book at all.
